Electric fence energisers from the professional ranger® range are suitable for large grazing animals such as cattle or horses, as well as for challenging site conditions, for example dry soils. In battery operation, the ranger® ABN60 electric fence energiser delivers 0.6 joules of output energy – more would hardly be possible with a 9-volt battery!

Compatible with a solar panel

When it comes to power supply, the ranger® ABN60 electric fence energiser is exceptionally versatile: it can be operated with either a rechargeable battery or a standard battery. Both power options can also be combined with a solar panel. The solar panel can be easily mounted and aligned using the integrated mounting points. Several tilt angles are possible, allowing the angle of incidence of the sunlight to be optimised for the season. The electric fence energiser automatically detects whether a solar panel is installed and switches to solar operation.

Saving power with ECO Power

When operated with a rechargeable battery, the electric fence energiser can also be connected to the mains. In this case, the rechargeable battery serves as a backup in the event of a power failure. The integrated ECO Power energy-saving circuit automatically adjusts power consumption to the condition of the fence. This means lower power consumption with well-insulated fences and higher power consumption with poorly insulated fences (leakage caused by vegetation, etc.). The ranger® ABN60 electric fence energiser also features deep-discharge protection: if the rechargeable battery reaches a critical charge level, the LED indicates this by flashing rapidly. Before the battery is completely discharged, the electric fence energiser switches off.

Easy to handle

The ranger® ABN60 electric fence energiser sets new standards for ease of handling: it features a robust housing made from UV-resistant plastic and is easy to transport thanks to its compact design and the soft-grip insert in the handle. The plastic housing has rounded edges and is splash-proof and oil-resistant.

The performance data are equally impressive: the ranger® ABN60 electric fence energiser generates a maximum voltage of 11,000 volts. A three-stage LED indicator shows the charge level of the battery or rechargeable battery. An on/off switch on the unit eliminates the need to unplug the device or use switching devices on the fence. Under optimal conditions, the electric fence energiser is suitable for fence lengths of up to 6.5 km (according to CEE: 12 km).

3-year warranty

The scope of delivery includes a fence and earth connection cable as well as a metal double spike, which provides secure footing on uneven pasture and is also suitable for basic earthing. A 10 W solar panel is available as an accessory for charging the rechargeable battery. horizont provides a 3-year warranty, with the option of a 1-year extension if the customer registers the product.
