Pasture fence strands - light & flexible to use.
The pasture fence strand is similar in construction to a pasture fence rope, but thinner. We offer various designs to optimally adapt the conductor to local conditions and animals.
horizont - Pasture strands are available in different series, which are characterised by the maximum fence length. For each individual application, horizont offers the right pasture fence strand. All horizont willow strands are highly visible at dusk, which is a decisive factor due to their small diameter.

The technical properties of a pasture fence strand
The pasture fence strand consists of a plastic braiding in which conductive wires are incorporated. A combination of stainless steel and copper has proved successful: copper wire is an excellent conductive material, while stainless steel is less conductive but more stable. So if a copper wire breaks, the power supply at the point of breakage is still secured by the stainless steel wire running along with it: Behind the point of breakage, the copper conducts the impulses again without restriction.
The stranding in opposite directions ensures a high degree of stability of the pasture fence strands.
Individual strands are arranged so that they are well twisted into the strand. This guarantees a safe spark-over.
Wires are always clearly visible due to the complex stranding process and offer a high contact area.
For what purpose are pasture fence strands suitable?
Strands are particularly light, which makes them easy to attach. They are equally suitable for short and long fences and fixing at variable heights. The mobility and tear resistance of the pasture fence strands make them a very good option for both fencing and game defence.
This makes it possible to use it to secure any livestock. Pasture strands can be used for horses, cattle and sheep alike.
If, despite its durability, a pasture fence strand should be damaged or tear due to external influences, the electric fence can be easily repaired without having to replace the entire conductor material: To do this, simply attach conductive connecting pieces as intermediate elements and the current will continue to flow unhindered.
