The lightning protection system effectively protects your electric fence equipment from damage caused by lightning strikes and excessive voltages. The scope of delivery of the complete system includes an earthing switch (can also be used as an on/off switch of a fence system) and a choke coil with two lightning protection isolators.
Safety instructions:
Inside the building, the electric fence device must not be installed in operating areas at risk of fire (stables, barns).
To prevent lightning damage, a grounded lightning spark gap must be installed in the fence supply line to the building or before it enters a building.
The lightning protection system must be installed by a specialist. Experience has shown that power supply units are more frequently damaged by lightning than battery units, therefore the installation of a lightning protection system is recommended. The wiring must be carried out in accordance with the installation instructions. The lightning protection ground and the operating ground of the electric fence equipment must be connected together.
