Information on 'RoHS'

The original EC Directive ‘2002/95/EC (Restriction of Hazardous Substances - RoHS 1)’ was replaced by the EU Directive ‘2011/65/EU (RoHS 2)’.

The ‘COMMISSION DELEGATED DIRECTIVE (EU) 2015/863 (RoHS 3)’ of 31 March 2015 amends and extends ‘Annex II to Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2)’ of the European Parliament. However, the EU Directive ‘2011/65/EU (RoHS 2)’ remains authoritative.

The extensive substance restrictions of Directive ‘2011/65/EU (RoHS 2)’ were transposed into national law in Germany with the ‘Ordinance on the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Electrical and Electronic Equipment Substances Ordinance - ElektroStoffV)’.

The ‘ElektroStoffV’ came into force on 19 April 2013.

We, the horizont group gmbh, ensure the conformity of our products with the ‘ElektroStoffV’ and ‘RoHS 2 and RoHS 3’ in accordance with their intended use.

Our suppliers have been and are involved in this ongoing process.

Our operating instructions have been and will be adapted to new requirements as necessary.
