Anti-freeze heating cable
The cold season brings with it a number of problems, such as the risk of water pipes freezing. To avoid such damage, it is helpful to use a high-quality anti-freeze heating cable to protect the pipes from frost and snow.
What distinguishes a high-quality heating cable?
Heating cables have an integrated thermostat that serves to detect the temperature. It switches on at + 3° C and switches off automatically at +12° C and above. This keeps the water pipe frost-free, saves electricity and means that the temperatures do not have to be measured independently. Additional insulation of the cable ensures resistance down to -45° C, but care should be taken not to insulate the thermostat as well. Accessories such as earthing contact plugs are included so that the heating cable can be easily installed. The 230 V voltage supplies the heating cable with power and allows an output of 17 to 768 W.
Choice of different lengths
The heating cables can be used to heat any water pipes, gutters or plants. Depending on the place of use, a correspondingly long heating cable is required. There is a choice of heating cables from 1 m to 48 m in length.
How are heating cables installed?
The installation of the heating cable is simple and easy to handle. The earthing contact plug is plugged in and the cable is wrapped around the pipe, for example, and fastened with cable ties or adhesive tape. The thermostat then takes over and switches on and off automatically, depending on the outside temperature. This ensures optimal heat distribution and prevents, for example, their drinkers from freezing. The supply of water to the animals is guaranteed at all times by the heat of the heating cable.
