Warming plate for chicks
Chicks have special requirements for their ambient temperature, as they cannot keep themselves warm during their first weeks of life. The temperature should be between 32 and 38 degrees during the first week.
Especially in artificial chick rearing, a reliable heat source, which is provided by the mother hen in natural brooding and rearing, is essential.
Heat plates for chicks offer a particularly natural alternative to the hen hen.
The easy handling also makes them particularly suitable for beginners in chick rearing.
A hot plate for chicks offers the following advantages:
- It gives off a very gentle heat that is well distributed over the surface. There is therefore no risk of burning your birds.
- Compared to heat lamps, a heating plate for chicks consumes less electricity and is therefore considered particularly environmentally friendly and cost-saving.
- The height-adjustable feet of the heating plate can be adjusted according to the size of the chicks for optimal heat supply.
- The chicks are provided with shelter, which is as close to a natural alternative as possible to sheltering under a mother hen
