farmer® - Our all-rounder series of electric fence management. The grazing fence units are ideally suited for calm grazing animals kept under normal operating conditions.

The farmer® AS140 energiser is powered by the replaceable, integrated 12 V battery and the 24 W solar module. The solar charge control guarantees problem-free recharging and is built into the device to protect it from the weather.
The 3-stage LED display "Energy Control" offers a quick check of the battery capacity and also shows you the activity of the electric fence unit by flashing in time with the pulse output. This allows you to see the activity of the device from a distance.
Our electric fencers are made of high-quality plastics and are UV-resistant, splash-proof, torsion-resistant, impact-resistant and oil-resistant. This guarantees that the electric fence will last for many years.
The energiser is suitable for fence lengths (medium vegetation) up to 14 km.
We recommend installing the electric fence with 2 earthing rods of 1 m each for optimum fence safety.
Energiser, power supply unit, ground stake (approx. 30 cm), 12 V battery, 24 W solar panel, fence and ground connection cable are included in the delivery.

- This warning stands for possible harmful situations caused by electrical voltage, which can lead to serious injury or death if not observed!
- Fire hazard warning
- Warning - there is a risk of smouldering fire if heat builds up. The appliance must not be covered by materials etc. during operation, as this can lead to heat build-up and possibly to fire. Therefore, do not install in areas at risk of fire (e.g. hay and straw stores)
- Warning! Repairs may only be carried out by qualified persons. Only the replacement parts specified by the manufacturer may be used. We reserve the right to make technical changes!
- Please do not cover the electric fence with a plastic bag. Fire hazard due to overheating

Repair service
Reliable, competent and fast contact
Good service plays a major role at horizont. In our in-house repair workshop, experts are available to assist you with words and deeds. In case of a defect or damage of your device (e.g. due to lightning strike or moisture ingress), horizont's technical service will be at your disposal at short notice.
Many of horizont's specialized trade partners can repair your device on site thanks to simple modular construction or your device will be repaired in the service center in Korbach and you will be helped with a loaner device during the short repair time (usually 48 hours).
During the subsequent safety inspection, all components of the device are tested and you receive a one-year warranty on the complete device.

Legal notice regarding the battery law
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
You can either return used batteries that we carry or have carried in our range as new batteries to us at your own expense or return them free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipping address). Alternatively, you can hand in the batteries at your local collection points.
As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries so that they can be recycled or disposed of properly.
Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled.
The symbols on the batteries have the following meanings:
The symbol of the crossed-out wheelie bin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
For batteries containing a certain amount of lead, cadmium or mercury, the following additions below the symbol with the crossed-out wheelie bin indicate the respective pollutants:
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by weight
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by weight
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by weight
