Fence sheep wolf-repellent and protect small game - recommended by the Landesschafzuchtverband Baden-Württemberg!
The turbomax high energy net is a professional herding net with a height of 90cm and a length of 50m. The special vertical joints made of polyethylene guarantee a very high stability, which means that the net always stands straight and is also particularly suitable for uneven terrain and mountains.
The stable and rounded seals on the mesh crossing points also ensure high tear resistance, which makes the net particularly robust and durable. The stainless steel and copper conductors also contribute to this, the combination of which has the best usage properties. Due to the good conductivity of 0.33 Ohm / meter, you can operate several nets with one device and thus safely fence a larger area.
The 14 piles with double pile tips (155 mm long and 6.5 mm thick) ensure a secure stand even in loose soil or under high wind load. Both the stakes and the strands are easily visible even at dusk due to their white color. Farm animals and wild animals will therefore not accidentally walk through or damage them.
In addition, the top and bottom strands are reinforced by 60%, which ensures a high load capacity when tensioning the nets. The turbomax high energy net is 10% lighter than conventional nets for sheep farming. The low weight makes it easier for you to transport and set up the net and is especially advantageous when the terrain is uneven.
Small game can slip through larger meshes and remain unharmed!
The innovative sheep net also consistently supports sustainable nature conservation. It is possible for small animals such as frogs, hares or pheasants to slip through these larger meshes and thus remain unharmed. This special feature does not affect the protection of the fenced sheep, this remains unchanged.
Due to the lower mesh size of 20 x 30 cm, the fence has less contact with possible vegetation than conventional nets and therefore has a higher energy. The optimized mesh spacing throughout the net also allows you to set up the net in taller grass without causing a lot of runoff. This means that mowing the area clear is no longer absolutely necessary. Despite its high performance, the net has a lower energy consumption, which is why you also have less effort when recharging the batteries.
The beginning of the net is marked with a different colored stake insulator, so you can quickly find the beginning and the net can not get tangled. In addition, the sheep net has sturdy stainless steel clips for easy connection of net to net without additional tools or relocatable individual parts.
The turbomax high energy net was developed by horizont together with professional shepherds and extensively tested in practice. The regional sheep breeding association of Baden-Württemberg has confirmed the horizont net as test winner and recommends it for herding sheep.
The turbomax high energy net variants were developed in cooperation with the State Sheep Breeders Association of Baden-Württemberg. In a twelve-month herd protection project conducted by the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union and the Baden-Württemberg Sheep Breeders' Association, the turbomax high energy nets from horizont proved their worth in practical tests and were the test winners. Particularly highlighted features were the easy handling and the high herding tension compared to other nets.
Further practical test
In addition, the turbomax high energy herd protection net in a special version with an additional earth conductor has been extensively tested by shepherds in practice. This is the turbomax high energy plus earth sheep net in a height of 105 cm. For the participating shepherds, this special net is "the best support so far in dry soils and the sometimes unsolvable task of setting earth stakes in the necessary number and depth." Especially in a summer without sufficient precipitation, this specially developed net with grounding ladder is a great advance for even greater safety even in dry conditions.

Wolf defense
The particularly high herding safety is recommended by the Landesschafzuchtverband Baden-Württemberg. Together with horizont this sheep and goat net was developed.
- Attention: Never operate the knotted fence without the electric fence!
- For maximum herding safety, the herding voltage at each point of the nets should be 3,000 to 5,000 volts, depending on the animal species
- For electrifying the herding nets horizont recommends electric fencers of the hotshock® series
