- Recommended by the Landesschafzuchtverband Baden-Württemberg
Sustainable, light and safe - the turbomax high energy plus earth net from horizont is confirmed as test winner by the Landeschafzuchtverband Baden-Württemberg.
The turbomax high energy plus earth net is a professional net with a height of 105 cm and a length of 50 m, which in this version has an additional earth conductor. This means that the lower strand is equipped with stainless steel and copper conductors, which leads to an effective reduction of the ground resistance. The return current is conducted along the network to the device.
Additional grounding comes from the contact of the grounding conductors with each tip of the net stakes. The grounding conductors are equipped with stainless steel clips, which ensures the grounding connection from net to net. This additional grounding conductor provides you with a simple solution where recommended grounding with 1 - 1.5 m ground stakes is not possible in dry conditions or problematic ground.
The special vertical polyethylene connections guarantee very high stability, which means that the net always stands straight and is also particularly suitable for uneven terrain and mountains. The stable and rounded seals on the mesh crossing points also ensure high tear resistance, which is why the net is particularly robust and durable.
Even greater safety is also provided by the stainless steel and copper conductors, the combination of which has the best usage properties. Due to the good conductivity of 0.33 Ohm / meter, you can operate several nets with one device and thus safely fence a larger area.
Due to the 14 sturdy stakes made of plastic with double tips (155 mm long and 6.5 mm thick), a firm stand is guaranteed even under high wind loads or in loose soil. The white color of strands and stakes makes them easily visible even at dusk, so that wild and farm animals cannot accidentally pass through and damage the net.
The 60% reinforced bottom and top strands of the sheep net also ensure a high load capacity when tensioning the nets. The light weight is also an advantage when transporting and erecting the nets.
The innovative turbomax high energy plus earth sheep net also consistently supports nature conservation. Small animals such as frogs, hares or pheasants can slip through the lower meshes because, at 20 x 30 cm, they are larger than in conventional nets. As a result, they remain unharmed, while the protection of the fenced sheep remains unchanged. In addition, due to the larger meshes, the sheep net has less contact with possible vegetation and thus a higher energy.
The optimized mesh spacing throughout the net also allows you to set up the net in taller grass without causing a lot of runoff. This means that mowing the area free is no longer absolutely necessary. Despite its high performance, the net has a lower energy consumption, which is why you also have less effort when recharging the batteries.
The beginning of the net is marked with a different colored stake insulator so that you can quickly find the beginning when setting up the nets and the net cannot get tangled. In addition, the sheep net has sturdy stainless steel clips for easy connection of net to net without additional tools or individual parts that can be lost.
The turbomax high energy net was developed by horizont together with professional shepherds and extensively tested in practice. The State Sheep Breeders Association of Baden-Württemberg has confirmed the horizont net as the test winner and recommends it for herding sheep.
The horizont net "turbomax high energy plus earth" in a height of 105 cm is special in many ways and an all-rounder among the nets. Unique on the market so far is the additional earth conductor on the net, which ensures sufficient grounding even in dry conditions. In addition, the net has larger meshes than conventional nets.
Small animals such as frogs, pheasants or hedgehogs can slip through these meshes. They therefore do not get caught in the net and remain unharmed, which means that horizont consistently supports sustainable nature conservation. As part of the "turbomax high energy nets" from horizont, the turbomax high energy plus earth net is also one of the sheep nets tested by the Landeschafzuchtverband Baden-Württemberg.
The net is particularly recommended by the association for repelling wolves. With a height of 105 cm, it complies with the subsidy guidelines and specifications of a minimum height of 90 cm and thus provides reliable protection.
In order to protect your sheep reliably with the turbomax high energy plus earth net at a height of 105 cm, you should proceed very carefully when setting it up. - Attention: Never operate the knotted fence without the electric fence!
- For maximum herding safety, the herding voltage at each point of the nets should be 3,000 to 5,000 volts, depending on the animal species
- For electrifying the herding nets horizont recommends electric fencers of the hotshock® series
