Where is the plastic stake used?
The plastic stakes are ideally suited for pasture fences and pasture nets. They are often used in the construction of a sheep pasture net. You can use the pasture fence stakes as corner stakes, corner posts, line posts or intermediate posts.
Corner posts/ corner stakes
Corner posts are used for changes of direction or the beginnings and ends of a fence. They are essential for the stability of the fence, as the conductor material is brought together there.
Distance posts/ intermediate posts
Distance posts are positioned between the respective corner posts to give the fence the necessary stability. The ladder material is guided along the fence through them.
What is the difference between single picket and double picket?
Not only the height, but also the choice between a single and double picket are important factors in terms of stability.
Single tip
Due to a long galvanised ground nail and additional bracing, single spike pasture fence posts are very stable. Single points are particularly suitable for stony soils or areas in the mountains.
Double point
The double tip gives the post greater stability. In areas with a particularly loose soil, we recommend the double tops to ensure stability and thus optimal herding security for the animals. In addition, this variant can also be used when the ground is firm but free of stones.
Single tread or double tread?
Single step
Pasture fence posts with a single step ensure that the post enters the ground easily. However, if the ground is difficult to enter, you should choose a post with a double step.
Double step
If the ground is harder, use a double step. This distributes the forces better over the tread and you can get the stake into the ground even on hard ground.
What height and spacing should the plastic stakes have?
The height of the stakes depends on the animals kept and the fence or net used. As a general rule, the wider or heavier the ladder material, the closer the stakes need to be in wind-prone areas.
The distances also differ depending on the ladder material used.
-
Strand and wire: 6 m to 8 m
-
Tape: 3 m (with 40 mm wide tape), 5 m (with 20 mm wide tape), 6 m to 8 m (with 10 mm wide tape)
-
Electric wire: 4 m (for diameter 6-8 mm), 6 m (for diameter 5-6 mm)
Important: Please consider the conditions on site. If you want to erect a pasture fence on an uneven area, you must use several pasture fence posts.

How deep do the plastic posts have to be driven into the ground?
Pasture fence posts form the basic framework of a pasture fence. Accordingly, it is important to anchor them deep enough into the ground to achieve sufficient stability.
It is recommended that the post is driven into the ground at least up to a quarter of its total length. Therefore, consider the size when choosing a post. Corner posts are under a particular load, which is why they should be anchored into the ground up to a third of their total length.
Since plastic posts have a ground spike/ground nail, they are exempt from this recommendation. It is sufficient to drive them into the ground in the length of the soil nail.
