The shockstar S70 electric fence energiser offers you the flexibility of operating it with either a 9 V or a 12 V battery or rechargeable battery. With your purchase you will receive a matching 12 V / 12 Ah battery, which guarantees you a long-lasting power supply.
Our shockstar devices are supplied with a high-quality plastic solar panel enclosed in a robust polycarbonate frame. This design makes the solar panel lightweight yet extremely robust and durable. The plastic coating ensures break resistance and the rounded corners reduce the risk of injury.
With a 10 watt solar panel and a solar charge control system that ensures problem-free charging of various battery types, the shockstar S70 electric fence is ready for use immediately and switches automatically to solar operation. You can choose between 4 different angles of attack to optimise the use of solar energy, and the solar panel can also be fixed in a transport position.
The 3-stage "Energy Control" LED display offers you a quick check of the battery capacity and shows you the activity of the electric fence energiser by flashing in time with the pulse output. The special energy-saving circuit automatically adapts to the power consumption of the electric fence energiser to the electric fence, resulting in low energy consumption, reduced environmental impact and cost savings. The practical on/off switch on the electric fence energiser also makes it easy to operate.
Thanks to the ergonomic carrying handle , you can easily move the electric fence energiser with just one hand, even when the battery is inserted. Made from high-quality plastics, the shockstar S70 electric fence energiser is UV-resistant, splash-proof, torsion-resistant, impact-resistant and oil-resistant, guaranteeing many years of durability. It is suitable for fence lengths of up to 12 km.
For optimum fence security, we recommend installing the electric fence energiser with a 1 metre long ground stake.
In addition to the device itself, the shockstar S70 electric fence energiser is supplied with a 12 V / 12 Ah battery, a 10 watt solar module, a ground stake, fence and ground connection cables, a warning sign, operating instructions and safety instructions.

- This warning stands for possible harmful situations caused by electrical voltage, which can lead to serious injury or death if not observed!
- Fire hazard warning
- Warning - there is a risk of smouldering fire if heat builds up. The appliance must not be covered by materials etc. during operation, as this can lead to heat build-up and possibly to fire. Therefore, do not install in areas at risk of fire (e.g. hay and straw stores)
- Warning! Repairs may only be carried out by qualified persons. Only the replacement parts specified by the manufacturer may be used. We reserve the right to make technical changes!
- Please do not cover the electric fence with a plastic bag. Fire hazard due to overheating

Legal notice regarding the battery law
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
You can either return used batteries that we carry or have carried in our range as new batteries to us at your own expense or return them free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipping address). Alternatively, you can hand in the batteries at your local collection points.
As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries so that they can be recycled or disposed of properly.
Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled.
The symbols on the batteries have the following meanings:
The symbol of the crossed-out wheelie bin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
For batteries containing a certain amount of lead, cadmium or mercury, the following additions below the symbol with the crossed-out wheelie bin indicate the respective pollutants:
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by weight
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by weight
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by weight

Repair service
Reliable, competent and fast contact
Good service plays a major role at horizont. In our in-house repair workshop, experts are available to assist you with words and deeds. In case of a defect or damage of your device (e.g. due to lightning strike or moisture ingress), horizont's technical service will be at your disposal at short notice.
Many of horizont's specialized trade partners can repair your device on site thanks to simple modular construction or your device will be repaired in the service center in Korbach and you will be helped with a loaner device during the short repair time (usually 48 hours).
During the subsequent safety inspection, all components of the device are tested and you receive a one-year warranty on the complete device.
